The Wrong Door
Have you ever noticed how many people enter a store through the exit door and some exit through the enter door? Both doors are clearly marked, but some people just don’t read the signs. And, if you’re not careful, you’ll run into someone trying to come through the wrong door (Yes, I’m guilty of doing this a time or two).
Trying to use the wrong door can have some negative outcomes. Not reading signs has been a problem for many years. When Jesus entered Jerusalem through the Eastern Gate many read the signs of prophecy and knew who He was, but some thought He had no right to enter there. But, in John 10:9 Jesus said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.” Well, He’s still the right door and the only door to enter the Kingdom of God.
If you are one who thinks there are many ways to heaven, then you are trying to enter through the wrong door. Here’s what Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.” “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. “John 10:1, 9
Jesus has made a way for us to enter into a relationship with Him. Will you humble yourself and admit you need His mercy and trust him only? “He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.” Come to Father through Him.
