The Good News! – Simply the Gospel
If you watched/listened to some of the Charlie Kirk Celebration of Life last Sunday, you most undoubtedly heard the gospel message clearly shared. I was thrilled as many of you all were to hear so many proclaim Christ by the various speakers.
We find in 1Corinthians 15:3-6 “For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. Then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time, …” Combining this passage with a few other

- Our sinfulness means we deserve eternal punishment. Because of our rebellion against a holy God, we are guilty and deserving of eternal condemnation.
- God provided a solution through his Son, Jesus Christ. Through his grace, God sent his Son, Jesus, who lived a perfect life, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, and rose again.
- Forgiveness and new life are a free gift received through faith. Forgiveness is not earned by our good deeds but is freely given to those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus alone for salvation.
- Those who believe are adopted into God’s family and glorify him forever. As new creations in Christ, believers can now live in a restored relationship with God and find their ultimate purpose in glorifying and enjoying him forever
