Patriot Day
Tomorrow is 9/11, but instead of remembering it as a day of sorrow, we now know it as Patriot Day.
We want to honor our patriots, the men and women who risk their lives in order to keep us safe, and the families who allow their loved ones to risk their lives for us.
For the firefighters who brave smoke and flames to save families, homes, and memories.
For the police officers who protect our cities from crime, abuse, and injustice.
For the soldiers who are standing and fighting for our freedom thousands of miles from home.
Thank you to the patriots, our heroes.
We love you.
We honor you.
We can never repay you for your countless sacrifices.
What can we do though? We can Pray! Let’s Keep praying for our community and nation. “…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16b
From Nick Navarro, former Broward County Sheriff who led the multi-agency Blue Lightning Strike Force in South Florida: There’s no way we can patrol everything. We may have wonderful support from military and radar planes but, in truth, all we can really do is pray. – The Sun p.3 9-13-01
