Mountain Trail Switchbacks

Something I noticed while on a gondola lift over some trails in Montana this last summer, was that the trails below us seem to go all over the place.  Some went so far horizontally from us, I wondered if there would be a start to a new trail.  I did look at a map later and saw that they placed the trails in switchbacks as to keep the travel up or down safe for the hiker, biker or skier.

There are many Bible verses for us to look to that impress upon us the importance of leaning on the guidance of God.  As we close out 2025, may we admit the error & sin of our distrust in God’s goodness, and recommit to complete reliance on Him for the new year.

Read and meditate on these two passages.  Commit yourself to these and you will be amazed at what God does in your life.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Isaiah 41:10 “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
