Determination

From time to time we are inspired by God’s “little creations”.  Sometimes we are surprised by the activity of animals in the wild.  Such is the case when I discovered a few pictures of turtles making their way over and through various obstacles.  In specific, seeing them climb fences.  Yes, you read that correct.  What determination and effort this must take! 

The apostle Paul speaks of a time when God gave him laser focus to accomplish some very lofty undertakings.  He wrote, “When I came to you, brothers, announcing the testimony of God to you, I did not come with brilliance of speech or wisdom. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and power, so that your faith might not be based on men’s wisdom but on God’s power.” – 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
