“In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” Psalm 95:4-6

As we travelled central and northern Arizona last week, our lives were inspired once again by the majesty of God’s creation. 

Janie and I had the privilege to see a part of our country we’ve never seen before.  We observed the desert area of cacti and red rocks.  We looked up at the majestic pillars and outcrops of boulders and western junipers and cedars.  There were many naturally formed wonders like land bridges and pillars of rock, but of course the vastness of the Grand Canyon had us captivated for quite some time.

While pondering the greatness of His Creation I considered this passage in Job:

“Hear this, O Job; stop and consider the wondrous works of God. Do you know how God lays his command upon them and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine? Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge, you whose garments are hot when the earth is still because of the south wind? Can you, like him, spread out the skies, hard as a cast metal mirror?” Job 37:14-18
