Good Health

Many of you have commented on my appearance lately in regard to losing some weight. I hope to continue on a path to better health and lose a few more pounds in the next coming months. I pray the upcoming holiday dinners don’t derail me to badly. 🙂

Thank you for your encouragement and may we encourage each other to take care of “The Temple of God” given to us. May the following verses and anecdote encourage you and I to keep our bodies under discipline.

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” 3 John 1:2

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19,20

“Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:27

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

How about a little weight loss humor to close out this “From the Pastor”: Why did the diet coach send her clients to the paint store?

She heard you could get thinner there.
