Late/Missing for Boarding
While at Logan airport waiting for our scheduled time to board our plane, I couldn’t help but overhear the gate attendant’s announcement for another destination. They had confirmed and boarded everyone for a plane heading to Nashville except for three individuals. Multiple times they called out the three individuals’ names that they needed to get to their boarding gate ASAP or they would be “left behind”. I recall at least one of them getting to board. It was “just in time”. I felt relief for them, but concern for those who missed their flight.
This instance reminded me of the passage in Genesis 7 when the Lord shut the family of Noah in the Ark and it was too late for any to join them and be saved. “And the Lord shut him in.” (Genesis 7:16). Once Noah and his family entered the ark and God shut the door, the time for anyone else to enter ran out, and it was too late for those outside.
Maybe you have been delaying responding to the Lord’s invitation. Wait no longer! We find in 2 Corinthians 6 , “For he says, ‘In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Cor. 6:2
I pray that you respond now and don’t miss the appointed timely departure set by God, Pastor Larry
